Author Talk and Reading: Rob Quinn

On the Other Side of the Street is Rob Quinn’s account of living through HIV, serious illness, addiction, and the loss of a career and identity he valued. Through the image of a street crossing, he explores recognizing change, accepting support, and beginning again. Each chapter includes reflection questions and a self-care activity. At the reading, Rob will share passages and invite a community conversation about the crossings in our own lives. Rob Quinn is a Hyde Park resident, author, speaker, advocate, long-term survivor, and founder of R4 Style. Drawing on his work with children and families in hospitals and his own experiences of illness, recovery, and change, he writes about finding a way forward when life no longer looks as expected.
