Eikyo Matsunaga is a Japanese fiction writer forging ahead at the world’s leading edge of literature. By asking AI to write and competing with its output, he searched for a voice AI could not readily reproduce and arrived at his current style. For him, a human continuing to write is itself a form of resistance in the AI age. His English collection, Literature, More or Less: A Short Story Collection, brings together ten stories of absurdist literary fiction and humor.
